On August 23, Guo Wei, Chinese Ambassador to Seychelles, held a medical and health symposium at the Ambassador's residence. Dr. Danny Louange, Chief Executive Officer of Ministry of Health of Seychelles, Velda Both, Director of Personnel of Ministry of Health of Seychelles, Sultanne. Cadeau, Director of Housing of Ministry of Health of Seychelles, He Fang, Head of the Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of Chinese Embassy in Seychelles, Liu Zhonghao, Head and Temporary Secretary of Party Branch of the17thChinese Medical Team Assisting Seychelles, and Yang Yuhai, a member of the medical team, attended the symposium.
Guo Wei highly praised the medical team for their selfless contribution and dedication to the foreign aid cause, especially their efforts to perform their duties during the pandemic, which has shown the spirit of "being fearless of hardships, willing to contribute, healing the wounded and rescuing the dying, and showing the boundless love”. In view of the possibility that the team may not be able to return to China on time, Guo encouraged the team to continue to perform their duties while taking good care of themselves.
Dr. Danny Louange expressed his gratitude to the Chinese Medical Team Assisting Seychelles for their contribution to the development of Seychelles' medical and health services, saying that the medical assistance and technical guidance provided by the team to Seychelles during the pandemic period reflected the friendly relationship between the two countries and the profound friendship between the two peoples.
Liu Zhonghao, Head of the medical team, reported on the anti-pandemic work on behalf of the medical team, saying that the team members will work together with the Seychelles side to overcome difficulties, make persistent efforts and strive to complete the mission of foreign aid while keeping in mind the instructions of the Party and the leaders of the Hospital.
