The Clinical Skills Training Center of the Second Hospital of Shandong University was established in 2005. It is the first clinical skills training center in the medical and health system of Shandong Province. It is an all-round training institution that integrates teaching, demonstration, operation, and examination. It consists of the following 6 main learning platforms: the Comprehensive Basic Platform, the First Aid Skills Training Platform (AHA), the Clinical Thinking Training Platform (DXR), the Simulation Endoscopy Training Platform, and the Nursing Skills Operation Training Platform. The total area of it is 900 square meters, and the total value of simulation training and teaching equipment is about RMB 14 million Yuan. It can undertake the training and assessment tasks for medical students, staff of the hospital, advanced training personnel, and personnel designated by national medical and health institutions. The establishment of the Clinical Skills Training Center in our hospital meets the requirements of the development of modern medical education. It is an important condition for improving the overall medical level, promoting the overall teamwork, enhancing the clinical thinking ability of emergency treatment, and ultimately reducing the occurrence of medical accidents.
