The Hospital is one of the first large hospitals in the province to set up clinical psychological counseling department. The Department of Psychology was firstly founded in 1987 with the Hospital and has formed its unique characteristics and academic style after years of unremitting efforts with comparatively high influence in and out of the Province. It has provided psychological counseling and therapy, clinical, teaching and scientific research services for a long term and made outstanding contributions to the development of clinical psychology.

The Department has only psychology outpatient at present without ward.

The Department of Psychology is mainly responsible for the consultation and treatment of patients with psychological problems and diseases in and out of the province. The Department won trusts from patients and their families because of proved and significance effects.

Medical Members

Now the Department has 1 associate chief physician named Guo Gongshe, who is a member of the Revolutionary Committee of the Chinese Kuomintang (Kuomintang). Guo Gongshe graduated from the School of Medicine, Southeast University in 1987 and from Harbin Medical University in 1990 with a master’s degree of medicine. Once he engaged in further study in Harvard Medical School and is the postdoctoral visiting scholar of Washington University School of Medicine. He is skilled in humanistic psychotherapy and hypnotherapy, and once took the office of vice president of business in Beijing Guo’ao Psychology Hospital. His achievements so far include one municipal 1st prize, one 3rd prize and one provincial 3rd prize, over 20 papers on domestic and foreign journals, including 4 accepted by SCI. He has participated in 3 research subjects of the National Natural Science Fund.
