The Department of TCM now has 1 professor, 3 attending doctors and 3 resident doctors, all holding a master’s degree.

At present, the Department of TCM has TCM internal medicine outpatient and acupuncture and massage outpatient and diagnose and treat common, frequently-occurring, complicated and stubborn diseases of TCM internal medicine, especially respiration, digestion, gynecology and pediatrics. The Department provides comprehensive therapies against pains in neck, shoulder, waist and leg, sequela of apoplexy, facioplegia, scapulohumeral periarthritis, osteoarthritis in the forms of acupuncture, magnet therapy, external application therapy by traditional Chinese herbs combined with electrotherapy. In such process, it becomes a characteristic therapeutic department of the Second Hospital of Shandong University. Meanwhile, the Department offers pediatric massage treatment for diarrhoea, fervescence, cough, apocleisis, cacoepy and other diseases with satisfactory effects.
