Founded in 1997 by Prof. Sun Jiazhen, a national famous expert, the Obstetrical Department of the Second Hospital of Shandong University, thanks to the unremitting efforts of two generations, has become a specialty with unique features, distinct academic style and high reputation at home and abroad, and has made outstanding contributions to the development of perinatal medicine in China. It was identified as a master’s degree awarding base in 2002 and a Key Clinical Specialty of Shandong Province in 2012.
